Kids' Classes

Bugs Night Out - Mommy and Me  April 26

Please see our Children's Classes for some more wonderful art  opportunities geared for a younger audience.

Bridge Lab

This class is aimed at newer and intermediate bridge players who wish to improve their game, while having fun doing so. Students should already know the basic rules of bridge and should preferably have played some socially. The classes have proved highly popular; in 2014 we will begin our fourth year at the Bay School.  Lessons on the principles of bidding and play are followed by informal practice hands during which free-wheeling questions and discussion are encouraged at all times. Your Instructor is Tom Doyle, ACBL Life Master and Certified Bridge Club Director.  Classes are held every 2nd and 4th Monday starting  Jan. 13th 10am - noon .  Classes are $3 for each session.  Registration is not required.  Take one lesson or take them all.

Tom Doyle, Instructor                                             Tuition: $3 per session

Open Mike Sundays
Do you enjoy books on tape? Or, love a great short story or an inspiring or humorous poem? If so, come to Open Mike at the Bay School and hear local writers read their original work. The Open Mike will be held on the last Sunday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Art Speaks Gallery. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served. The events are free and open to the public. The Bay School invites all writers in the area to participate in the Open Mike.

Those interested in reading should come to the Bay School at 1:45 p.m. on the day of the event and sign up to be included on the program. Readers will be limited to one of the following: prose up to 2500 words; five poems of no more than 50 lines each, or five haiku.

Mark your calendars and plan to enjoy the works written by the many talented writers living in this community.
