The Bay School Community Arts Center is proud to announce that Pamela Doss has accepted the position of Executive Director.  Ms. Doss has extensive experience in the art world as a teacher, a curator, an administrator, and an artistic director.  She received a BA in Art from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a minor in Art History and Criticism.  While in Texas, Pam worked in several capacities at the Southwest School of Art and Craft in San Antonio where she made her mark with the Fiesta Arts Fair, a weekend event with 200-plus artist participants.  In Virginia, Pam was the Curator and Education Director at Gloucester Arts on Main.   She was on the organizing committee for the 2016 Virginia Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition held in Gloucester this month.  Most recently, Ms. Doss has served as Artistic Director at the Bay School where she is responsible for growth in the school’s pottery program offerings and in attendance at the school’s children’s classes and programs among many other accomplishments.  The staff and volunteers at the Bay School welcome Pam in her new capacity.  Pam and her husband, Jeff, live in Hayes.

We are also excited to announce that Saraya Cheney, our Outreach Coordinator, is now also our Gallery Coordinator.  Saraya has excelled in her outreach role and is looking forward to working more closely with our local artists, both established and emerging.
