Teacher Profile - Gary Edmondson

Gary Edmondson will be teaching “Everyday Acrylics” at the Bay School Wednesday – Friday, Dec. 9 – 11.

Gary was raised in Hampton, VA and for the last 29 years has lived in Mathews, VA.  He started painting in 1984 after watching a PBS series on Barclay Sheaks because he made painting look so easy.  Gary took many classes with Barclay at the Bay School.

Gary is heavily influenced by Jean-Simeon Chardin and Sandford Robinson Gifford who were both members of the Hudson River School.

Gary has been on the Board of Directors at the Bay School and in 2013 he started teaching acrylics classes.

Gary has donated the painting below to be raffled off to support our Empty Bowls Charity Fundraiser to help Hands Across Mathews.
